When selling gold, one thing matters above all: transparency. At our shop in Wengengasse 33 you see every step of the valuation. We want you to understand exactly how your price comes about.
How the valuation works
- Visual check and material identification. We inspect the hallmark (333, 585, 750) and test the material with our Goldscope SD515 by Fischer, an X-ray fluorescence analyser that determines the gold alloy contact-free and non-destructively, accurate to the thousandth. No acid test, no scratches.
- Weighing. Each piece is weighed individually on a calibrated precision scale. You can read the display along with us.
- Daily price calculation. We follow the daily London Fixing (LBMA) in euros per gram of fine gold, the globally recognised reference for the precious metals market.
- Payout. Immediately in cash or by SEPA transfer, whichever you prefer.
Our professional equipment
Unlike some buyers who work only with an acid or streak test, we test with industrial equipment. The Goldscope SD515 is the standard for serious precious metal valuation in German gold refineries and at banks. Your advantage: no scratch on the piece and the gold alloy readable on the display right away.
What we buy
- Old gold jewellery (chains, rings, pendants)
- Gold coins and bars
- Dental gold
- Scrap gold
We are happy to look at gemstones, branded hallmarks and old heirlooms separately. Sometimes a piece is worth more than its pure material weight.
What to bring
An identity document is required by law, as we record the purchase in our precious metals trading ledger. Nothing else. No appointment, no booking needed.
Not sure whether a piece is worth it? Drop by without obligation or give us a quick call and we will tell you the rough range in advance.
