What does a gold bar cost at your shop?
The price depends on the daily gold price and the bar size, so we cannot list fixed prices. Just ask or drop in during our opening hours and we will tell you the current price.
Is VAT charged on investment gold?
No. In Germany, investment gold, i.e. bars with a fineness of at least 995 thousandths, is exempt from VAT under § 25c UStG. Our C.HAFNER bars are 999.9.
Which bar sizes do you keep in stock?
Minted bars run from 1 g to 100 g, plus ¼ oz, ½ oz, 25 g and 1 oz. Cast bars are available from 1 oz up to 1,000 g. Which sizes are on hand varies; larger denominations we order on request.
How can I tell the bar is genuine?
Every bar comes in a sealed CertiCard. If the seal is intact and the serial number matches the enclosed certificate, everything is in order. You do not need to open the packaging to check.
What does LBMA Good Delivery mean?
The London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) keeps a list of refineries whose gold is accepted in international trade. C.HAFNER is on this list, and the bars are 999.9 fine. That makes selling them on easier.

Yes, at the daily price. We check purity and weight in front of you. Please bring valid ID, as required by law.
